Engineering School students participate in the design of the "Glass Apps"

Engineering School students from the Tecno UAB association, dedicated to promoting the development of new technologies, are working on the design of applications for Google Glass in collaboration with the company Itglas.

The Google Glass are technological support that have opened a new door to the world.
“The participation of students represents an important opportunity for them, since it allows them to be in contact with the newest technology on the market”, explains Daniel Franco, director of the Engineering School.
 
Itglas, the Catalan company Tecno UAB is working with, is approved by Google to develop its Glass Apps. The new device created by this American giant was launched on 15 April in the US in a limited version and with the price of $1,500 (1,078 euros). At the moment it is not known when the product will be available in other countries.
 
The Glass is a new technological support with which Google has opened a door in the world of applications which includes from the most common tools such are receiving information from smartphones in a visor located at eye level, to more advanced features such as innovations in the field of health, tourist guides with augmented reality and many others yet to be discovered.
