The jury highlighted the innovative nature of his teaching, characterised by placing the student at the centre of the teaching-learning process, encouraging critical and reflective thinking, as well as the extraordinary results of the student satisfaction surveys, both in terms of volume and evaluations, with a constant high participation and a very high score throughout the years. The jury also found remarkable his institutional involvement in the renewal of the Faculty of Law's teaching model, recognised as good teaching practice and reflected in the excellent evaluations obtained in the external process of accreditation of the academic programmes.

The award, aimed at all UAB lecturers with more than ten years of dedication, has an economic endowment of 5,000 euros spread over two years, which will be used to improve teaching. This distinction reaches its sixth edition this year. In previous editions, it was awarded to Sònia Parella, Gemma Puigvert, Sergi Robles, Carme Mangiron and Sònia Casillas.
