Roger Sabà, PhD student on the programme in Media, Communication and Culture, has been awarded the second prize in the 35th edition of the awards awarded by the Catalan Audiovisual Council on research in audiovisual communication.

Sabà presented the master's thesis that he developed last year in the Department's university master's degree, entitled "Capacityism in the media: the perception on the social representations of capacitionism by people with functional diversity between 20 and 45 years old in Catalonia".

The first prize highlighted the doctoral thesis of Ariadna Moreno, defended at the UPF, on the cinema of Chantal Akerman. In this last edition of the awards, 11 doctoral theses had been presented, five master's degree final projects, a bachelor's degree final project and a specific research project. The awards were presented at the Rovira i Virgili University, in Tarragona, on 11 March.
