These sessions, offered by Dr Xavier Gabarell, will focus on the opportunities for researchers under the SMART-ER call for proposals.
On 10, 11 and 14 January, from 12 to 1 p.m., information sessions will be held on the opportunities the SMART-ER project offers to researchers. The session will be hosted by Dr Xavier Gabarrell, scientific director of the SMART-ER Project and director of the ICTA.
The ECIU University - Research Institute for Smart European Regions (SMART-ER), en EU-funded project, aims to create a virtual research institute which would allow all 12 ECIU University member institutes to work together on complex social challenges under the framework of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal #11 (sustainable cities and communities).
As part of the SMART-ER Project, several calls for proposals have been arranged to foster collaborations between ECIU research groups. Among these calls are initial ideas for interdisciplinary projects capable of addressing SDG11-related challenges, funding for the implementation of citizen science pilot programmes, as well as training in cross-curricular skills for predoctoral (R1) and postdoctoral (R2) researchers.
