Premiats a la cerimònia d'entrega

Yesterday the AXA auditorium in Barcelona held the award ceremony of the Avedis Donabedian Quality Awards granted by the Avedis Donabedian Foundation. In this year's edition, the award for the Project for Quality Improvement in Primary Care went to the project “NAT-Can Rull: impacte dels banys de bosc en el benestar emocional de persones amb simptomatologia subclínica d'ansietat i depressió” [NAT-Can Rull: Impact of forest baths on the emotional well-being of people with subclinical symptoms of anxiety and depression], of the Consorci Corporació Sanitària Parc Taulí, the Atenció Primària Sabadell 4B, the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, the Grup de Recerca en Estrès i Salut – Institut de Recerca de l'Esport, and the Servei de Parcs Naturals of the Barcelona Provincial Council, coordinated by lecturer of the UAB Department of Basic, Developmental and Educational Psychology Antoni Sanz. Likewise, the project “Desenvolupament d'un model d'hospitalització de salut mental centrat en la persona i respecte als seus drets: Portes Obertes” [Development of a model of mental health hospitalisation centered on the person and respect for their rights: Open Doors], of the Adult Psychiatry Service of the Hospital Universitari Germans Trias i Pujol, coordinated by lecturer of the UAB Department of Psychiatry Joan de Pablo, won the award for the best Project of quality improvement in mental health.

In 1989, the Avedis Donabedian Foundation created the Avedis Donabedian Awards for Quality in health institutions, with the aim of recognising different aspects of the quality of the centres and marking the trends of future development in different areas. The first to see the light of day was the Award for the best memory of a health and social institution, and was so well received by professionals in the sector that in 1993 the Avedis Donabedian Quality Awards were created, so that those institutions that had a quality plan as a path to excellence and could demonstrate the results achieved in terms of improved care and user satisfaction could publicise their work and receive well-deserved recognition.
